Dick formed Mesmer in 1992 which has since functioned as a company of associate video creatives with common interests in visual and performance based activities. Dick has produced projection designs for many seminal fashion shows, commercial and architectural projection events and theatre shows. This has included working for the National Theatre, London (where he was Video Consultant from 1999 to 2006), the Royal Opera House, Gainsbury & Whiting (including four Alexander McQueen shows), and others.
From theatre and film set work to visual art events Dick’s range of experience has extended over huge technological advances whilst still being grounded in traditional visual language. He is involved in image production using photography,video filming and animation, motion graphics post production and the delivery of the content into the projection or display system. Dick’s particular interest is in designing projection that involves creating content for unusual spaces and contexts. He has completed hundreds of designs as a projection and video designer and consultant.
