MESMER are a creative studio and technical consultancy working with video, projection and digital integration for live events.

Building on over three decades of experience, Mesmer associates have designed Olivier and Tony award-winning shows and been consultants for The Royal Opera House, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The National Theatre and Disneyland. Our expertise crosses boundaries between projection and content playback, image creation and manipulation. This requires technical knowledge balanced with design skills and a creative problem solving approach. We have combined and developed our services working throughout the creative industries.

Mesmer are an award-winning creative studio working across the entire spectrum of performing arts and live events. Our work blends virtual and real-world environments, traditional and cutting-edge methods, and places storytelling and audience communication at the fore.

Mesmer have over 30 years experience in live events, working across all disciplines. This means we understand how projection relates to photography, or how live video playback relates to video post production methods. We understand cueing and resolution, frame rates and aesthetics, exposure and surface luminance.

Mesmer produce video content for the majority of our shows. Given the nature of our work, this means a huge variety in what we produce, from hand-drawn animation to 3D modelling and from film shoots to generative content. Whatever the workflow, our content is creative-led and diligently researched.

Mesmer can provide equipment and crew for all scales of project, from projectors, to LED walls and playback systems. From projectionists to animators, we have a wide network of freelancers who specialise in live video.
