Ian William Galloway

Ian is a designer & director, working mostly in theatre, opera, film & music. He started working with Mesmer in 2003 while we were resident at the National Theatre in London.

As a video & projection designer for the stage, he has designed shows in the West End and on Broadway, for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Frantic Assembly, Complicite, Improbable, Headlong, the National Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland and National Theatre Wales, and in opera with the English National Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Scottish Opera, English Touring Opera, the Opera Group, Bremer Oper, Opera de Lyon, Nationale Reisopera and the Mariinsky. He has created visuals for pop stars, bands, fashion events and awards shows.

As a director, he has made music videos, shorts, fashion and dance films. In a previous life, he was a touring musician.
