Twitter Halloween: Everyday Hauntings
The funniest Halloween Tweets dressed up in creepy costumes and appearing after dark in outdoor locations around London
We worked with Flying Object and Twitter UK to remind Twitter uses what they love about the platform, and showcase Twitter’s original take on Halloween – in a way that was sensitive to the cultural context of Covid-19.
Carefully selected tweets were projected onto two tunnels on the Southbank. In Clink Street, we created a host of ghostly tweets to float up and scare/entertain passers by. Under Southwark Bridge we worked with Manual Cinema to project zombie hands bursting from the earth and holding surprising tweets.
As well as providing and realising the creative for the Clink Street projection, Mesmer provided all scanning and mapping services, equipment and crew. The entire installation operated under Covid-19 safety conditions for a week.
