"With Finn Ross's video projections blending news footage with milky, Méliès fantasy and a moon-landing in which the Czech flag is planted on the pockmarked surface, this gentle satire is a delight." Anna Picard, The Independent

The first staging of Janacek's satirical opera in 25 years. Set in Prague after the Spring revolution we follow the excursions of Mr Broucek to the Moon and 15th Century Prague.

Challenges included faking a moon landing for the Act 1 overture, making a man float to the moon, animating flying horses and historical image research all within a unifying aesthetic.
