Ian William Galloway
Ian is a director, designer and filmmaker working with all forms of video for live performance.
His work for the stage includes Beautiful Burnout, Lovesong (Frantic Assembly), Singin' in The Rain (West End & Chichester Festival Theatre), The Missing (NTS), Flashdance (West End), The Tempest, The Lion In Winter (Haymarket), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Headlong), The Kreutzer Sonata, Medea/Medea, Nocturnal (Gate Theatre), The Gods Weep (RSC), Freerun (Udderbelly), Midnight Your Time (Hightide), Hitchcock Blonde (Alley Theatre, Houston & South Coast Repertory, LA), A Minute Too Late (Complicite), EPIC (Foster & Dechery), On the Record, The Spanish Tragedy (Arcola), Bunny (Nabokov).
Opera includes Eugene Onegin (ENO), Babur in London, The Lion's Face, Seven Angels (The Opera Group), Hotel de Pekin (Nationale Reisopera), Sancta Susanna, Von Heute Auf Morgen (Opera de Lyon), Les Enfants Terribles (Arcola).
Ian has toured the UK, Europe and Japan as a musician, designed and directed projections for concerts (Leona Lewis, Tom Vek, Riz MC) and has directed music videos and shorts.
He works as part of Mesmer, a collective of video and projection designers working across theatre, dance, music, fashion and the arts.
Ian is represented for theatrical work by Amanda Evans at Scott-Marshall.
